Guano Gold Enterprise is an ark that will allow all people in Nauru to flee the decayed land. Phosphates in Nauru was like gold and with it brought prosperity and the eventual fall of the island nation into poverty as it depletes. The project is a work of design fiction presented as a collection of stories told by multiple perspectives representing the spectrum of human life that would be contained within and around the ark.

It pays tribute to the tragic story of Nauru exploited by the mining of phosphates and questions the possibilities of the future. The exhibition is told through imagery and 3D printed forms of the Ark that is reminiscent of Nauru’s industrial and mining landscape.
